Eight people is an awkward number for a regional town: too many for one motel room, too few to justify a lodge. The Dalton takes the whole group under one roof, with enough separation that nobody is negotiating over a single living room.
The Dalton is $242 AUD to $315 AUD per night. These rates cover stays at any time of year and are live from our booking system, last checked 16 August 2026.
Upstairs there is the main living and dining room with the gas fireplace, opening out to the deck. Downstairs is a second lounge with its own TV area and a kitchenette — which is where the kids end up, or the early risers making coffee without waking the house. It is the single feature that makes eight people work here.
Three queen bedrooms, the main with its own ensuite and built-in robes. The study has a sofa bed for the fourth sleeping space, and doubles as a desk with a monitor and a proper chair if someone has to work. Two bathrooms plus a separate WC.
The house works equally for a family weekend, a milestone birthday or a corporate stay where people need to actually work during the day. What it is not is a party house — no parties or events, and quiet after 10pm, which is what keeps it pleasant for everyone including the neighbours.
