Duntryleague is a historic 18-hole championship course laid out around a Victorian mansion that serves as the clubhouse, with dining and golf cart hire on site. Carts are worth booking ahead, particularly on weekends. Wentworth Golf Club is another six minutes on if you want a second course in the same trip.
Three queen bedrooms and a study with a sofa bed, two bathrooms plus a separate WC — which matters more than anything else when eight people are trying to get out for an early tee time. Two living areas, a covered deck for the post-round beer, a laundry, and parking for three cars.
Byng Street Local Store for breakfast, the Gladstone Hotel for a cold one and, by local consensus, the best Thai in town. The Oriana and the Union Bank for a proper dinner. All within a few minutes of the house.
