The house
Sleeping up to 8 guests across three queen bedrooms and a study with a sofa bed, The Dalton is a mid-century brick home in Orange, NSW, renovated top to bottom and furnished for groups who'd rather cook, sprawl and stay put than split across hotel rooms. Two separate living areas, and a kitchen with a butler's pantry behind it.
Named for the Dalton family, early residents who helped shape the city — a nod to the history of a place now better known for cool-climate wine, four proper seasons and one of the best regional food scenes in the country. It's a popular base for the Orange Wine Festival each October and Orange F.O.O.D Week each autumn, both a short drive from the door.

Living & dining
The heart of the house: deep lounges around a gas fireplace, a dining table for six and hardwood floors throughout. It opens straight onto the deck, so long lunches tend to drift outside and back again.

Kitchen & butler's pantry
A brand-new kitchen with stone benchtops, induction cooktop, dishwasher and a full complement of cookware, crockery and glassware. Behind it, a butler's pantry adds a second run of bench space, the coffee machine and room to make a mess out of sight.
Breakfast bar seating, a Nespresso machine, tea and coffee, and a selection of barware for the evening.

Bedrooms
The main bedroom has built-in robes and its own renovated ensuite. Two further queen bedrooms look out over the garden and the parkland across the road, each with robes, bedside lamps and the same soft, neutral palette.
The main bathroom has both a walk-in shower and a bathtub, with a separate WC — which matters when the house is full.

Downstairs studio
Downstairs is a self-contained retreat: a big corner lounge and TV, its own kitchenette with bar fridge, kettle and coffee machine, and the laundry alongside. Ideal for the kids, an early riser making coffee, or a movie night that doesn't take over the house.

Outside
A covered deck for morning coffee and evening drinks, a level lawn framed by established hedging, and green outlook across the road. Off-street parking in the driveway and garage, plus unrestricted street parking out front.

Study
A dedicated study with a sofa bed for extra guests. The desk is set up with an external monitor, keyboard, mouse and a proper chair — plug in a laptop over HDMI and it's a real workspace, not a token one.
